I’m back to being Table for One today.
My parents have just flown to Seattle to spend a couple of weeks with my sister and see their grandson, Benjamin. It’s not even been a couple of hours since they took off and I’m already dreading being alone again. Dreading eating my meals alone. And worst of all, having no one to talk to. I don’t even need a day to pass by to realize what a blessing it has been having my folks around.
This was the first time in nine years that I was able to spend my birthday with my parents. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you already know the feast they put together. In the past two and a half months, they have gone out of their way to accommodate my life and work schedule making sure my meals are cooked, laundry is done and condo is spick and span. To say I was spoiled is an understatement. To say I am eternally grateful will never be enough.
Thanks Mum and Dad for being such a great help while on YOUR vacation. Have a great time in Seattle.
Time for me to get reacquainted with that cooking thing. Hopefully I’ll be writing about successes rather than disasters in the near future.
